How can urban environments become areas for personal and ideological transformations?
How can artists create charged public space? In this show we expose the dynamics
and aesthetics of street art and recent guerrilla communication. We consider
public space in urban environments as a forum for change, and explore, visually,
ways of altering and reclaiming our surroundings.
Program
6pm: Artist Dinner (for participants and Pass holders)
7pm: Workshops, Presentations, and Urban Gardening Kit
Workshops include onsite silkscreen by members of Diamonds on Archer,
among others. Artworks made in multiple by Version>05 artists will also
be available for visitors of the show to take home and distribute in their
own neighborhoods. Works include posters, stencils, stickers, photocopy art
and numerous objects meant for public display will also be available for visitors
of the show to distribute in their own neighborhoods.
Ongoing: Exhibition includes original artworks and documentation
of works installed on location elsewhere including installations, billboard
modification, graffiti analysis, live art and public intervention. Artists

The Sticker Award Bureau from Germany operates from a wooden shack in various
Chicago street locations during the festival. Stickers are created and distributed
to passing citizens. An international sticker collection will be exhibited.
