The Human Television Network – Various Artists
You should have a weekly segment on national TV. Like that will happen. We started meeting during the disinformation campaign, pre Iraq Invasion and decided to create our own network of neighborhood groups and encourage meet-ups and events to help circulate news that is ignored by the major networks. We built battery-powered televisions that can be worn, wheeled on bicycles or set up on a street corner. We imagine a city-wide media activist community. Imagine 50 or 100 groups who show our work to each other at the park, in the backyard and in front of City Hall. We will bring your media to the streets.

7PM:buddY – Quimby’s Zinemobile - Quimby’s
Quimby's has constructed a bike-powered zine mobile to park and distribute independently published literature in different locations around Chicago.
This action reformats the space itself into one which is conducive to artistic communication. Local and international Zinemakers have donated their wares to be given away free in order to reach a larger audience with this message of non-commercial communication -- one of the major tenets of independent publishing. After Version the zine mobile will be available for check-out allowing groups the ability to freely distribute literature or information where ever necessary.
