VERSION:
The Chicago festival is produced by the Public Media Institute, a non-profit
501(c)-3 corporation. Version brings together individuals, groups and networks
that utilize visual and conceptual art strategies, innovative social practice,
public art projects, and new music to push the counter cultures forward.
It's received critical acclaim internationally and abroad.
Our diverse program of activities includes NFO XPO, an art exposition/trade
fair; political activism; gallery exhibitions; video screenings; sculpture;
interactive technology; performance; street art; presentations; workshops
and skill-share at Free University; art rendezvous and interaction with
the everyday. Alternative spaces are open for action, projection and exhibition.
Public and corporate ones become terrains of dialogue and intervention.
